2006 International Business of the Year, Surrey Business Awards

The award recognises Cubiks' outstanding contribution to international trade and the pioneering work that the company has done to deliver leading-edge competency-driven assessment tools and services to major employers across the globe.


Winner of the 2005 Personnel Today Award for Excellence in HR through Technology with the Cabinet Office - November 2005.
Also shortlisted for the 2004 e-Government National Awards which recognise the use of online technology to join up and improve the delivery of Government services, and the 2005 Online Recruitment Awards for Best Technical Innovation and Best Corporate Use of Online Recruitment.

Cubiks has helped the Cabinet Office to transform its Fast Stream graduate recruitment programme for the online environment. This has involved the bespoke development of:
  • Online practice tests and job previewing tool
  • Online core-competency questionnaires
  • Online situational judgement questionnaires
  • Online ability test item banks


Over the course of the project, we achieved all project delivery dates on time and within budget. In addition to helping the client to address all of its guiding objectives, we were also able to help it to demystify the process amongst minority groups, which have been traditionally under-represented within the UK Civil Service. Stakeholder management was a key element of our work and as a result, we were able to achieve buy-in from all stakeholder groups.

Runner-up for the Netherlands-Brtish Chamber of Commerce Awards for Enterprise- November 2005

This award recognises Cubiks enterprising spirit in Anglo-Dutch trade and the successful performance of Cubiks on an international level since its launch in January 2000.

There is a well-established working relationship between the UK and Netherlands teams. The comnpany's tools are developed by a specialist Innovation, Products and Technology Unit based in Guildford, UK and then implemented at a country level by the Dutch consultants.

Winner of 2004 Personnel Today Award for Excellence in Graduate Recruitment (awarded in December 2004 with KPMG.

In 2000 KPMG introduced a 100 percent online recruitment strategy for the graduate market. Cubiks has worked with KPMG over a 5-year period to design an online core fit questionnaire, an interactive assessment exercise (to give candidates an insight into real business scenarios) and online verbal and numerical test item banks. Benefits have included:

  • 50% reduction in recruitment timecyle
  • 40% increase in volume of candidates assessed
  • Cost per hire well below Association of Graduate Recruiters average
  • 89% conversion rate (percentage of candidates who accept job offers), well above the average rate of its competitors.


Other accolades

In 2003, our work was recognised in an independent study commissioned by Oracle, which named Cubiks as one of the top 5 European providers on online assessment solutions.

Two of the four Website's short-listed for the 2001 Best Corporate Recruitment Website Award (British Airways and KPMG) given the Internet Recruiters Network and Association included online selection components developed by Cubiks.
